Are we Doomsday Prepping? Well, you’ll never get to Heaven or TV if you don’t.

The other day I was surfing through the channels and I came upon a show and it was about people that are preparing for doomsday. Now when I say preparing, I mean like way more than just stocking up on bread and water.

One of the more ‘prepped’ families that I saw had built a compound out of ocean shipping containers. Now for you that don’t know, these containers are virtually indestructible and are made of very heavy metal built to withstand tons of imported goods in strong seas banging on them. On second thought, I would kind of like a house built out of them myself.

These individual also had a ‘bug-out’ plan complete with converted school buses if evacuation was required, and a team of 22 individuals literally spent 40-50 hours a week maintaining this vigilance and lifestyle. It was quite impressive to see how well they have planned and thought out various scenarios and adapted to fortify against undesirable outcomes.

They have this compound at a secret, undisclosed location… just 35 miles outside of Houston Texas, right off the 288, down a sparsely graveled road right behind the Exxon station. Just look for the multi-colored Hyundai shipping container building.

One thing that impressed me was how much preparation, time and devotion has been spent in developing a fortress against the impending evil that is imminent. No doubt, they are in the best shape of anyone outside of CIA intelligence and military resources to survive all out Armageddon.

It got me to thinking about the impending evil that is imminent and how I have prepared myself against it as well.

Now I don’t have any shipping containers, just an old pole barn, that can barely keep out copper thieves. Fail. Two years stash of water? Fail. Bug-out plan, hordes of ammunition, plenty of gas, food and defense training? Fail, Fail, Fail,Fail, and Fail. Hum, this test brings to light that I probably won’t be around long to watch humanity pull out of this one.

But then I began to think about where I truly have placed my resolve to overcome Armageddon and the evils that will attack my family and me.

First, one day a week, my family and myself have been attending training with other militia that will prepare us to face down and prevail against the forces of evil. I’m not trying to be pretentious, but all I can say is it has been good. Then, as I have dedicated myself to being one of the best in preparedness, I have also started devoting the extra time and effort to this cause, ashamedly probably not 40-50 hours a week, but I am happily focusing more on this effort everyday. Soon I think I will overpass even the best of ‘preppers’ with my ambitious goals even to the point that Armageddon won’t be looked upon as oh no, what if, but more so as bring it on.

First, don’t take this as poking fun or disrespecting those fine people that are working diligently to protect their family and friends. Watch the show, it is pretty impressive. And I’ll be the first to say that I wouldn’t go out and throw caution to the wind and quit having some sort of disaster preparedness on this earth. The government calls us to do so, and give to Caesar what is Caesar’s.

However, to truly be free of the imminent attack of evil that is coming, and for one to be able to live the best life one can live, not just for yourself, but also for the others around you, I think there is a better compound to be built, and lived in, than those out of shipping containers. One thing I noticed is that ‘doomsday preppers’ don’t want others around when it all hits the fan. My training has encouraged me to be around as many, especially those that have been in training themselves, as I possibly can. The training guide itself practically says “the more the merrier”.

All I want to say to you today is, get ready for the imminent attack of evil… it is going to happen. I will also say that if you don’t do it extremely well, you’ll never make it to Heaven…or TV.

I too...Have watched the show and can only say...wow...what an eye opener. I have been worried for some time about disaster striking. I don't feel so alone now, knowing so many others are out there planning for the worst. I have decided to step-up, take charge of the safety and survival of myself and my family and prepare for a future as unpredictable as the weather!
